We are situated in the Lodi Wine country. The Borra Winery was founded with the intention of making wines that distinctly reflect the true potential of the Lodi Wine Appellation. Our two vineyards are located in different areas within the Lodi Wine Appellation. The first is the Carru' Vineyard located in central Lodi, and the second is the Gill Creek Ranch located in the Clements Hills area of Lodi. The Carru' Vineyard Ranch is the eldest of the two vineyards and has been in the family for over one hundred years. The vineyard was replanted in 1972 to Barbera. In 1991 we purchased the 200-acre Gill Creek Ranch, which had old vine Zinfandel and Chardonnay vineyards. We have since planted additional acreage of Merlot, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.To achieve our goal we employ the most progressive viticultural practices, harvest at peak maturity, and practice traditional winemaking techniques.
